𝐈𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐦𝐢𝐱 𝐭𝐚𝐩𝐞 📼

It was 1998 and we were two wide-eyed Canadians introduced to each other in, of all places, Costa Rica 🤍 Love quick on our heels, I did what what anyone does: 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘥𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘪𝘹 𝘵𝘢𝘱𝘦.

Mine was a riot of Blue Rodeo, U2, Peter Gabriel, REM and the Indigo Girls. It’s been 𝘷𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦 ocho años since that day — but every year since we opened the brewery, a Maibock is brewed and released with much care and affection in May, the month of my love’s birthday.

𝐒𝐡𝐞’𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐛𝐨𝐜𝐤 is a classic German lager, beautifully expressed with aromas of ripe strawberries, honeydew melon and stone-fruit, a note of bread crust and candied orange follows through to a smooth, long finish.
