The long-awaited champion has entered the building:

𝗛𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗔 𝗟𝗢𝗩𝗘 ~ the winning beer from our 14th annual Big Spruce Home Brew Challenge ~ is finally here!

This year’s challenge was 𝗠𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗖𝗥𝗔𝗙𝗧 𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗜𝗡, which sent our home brewers digging into the excellent, deeply unfashionable corners of beer history. The winner? A California-style Steam Beer: toasty and lightly caramel-malty, rustic and hoppy, properly bitter, crisp as hell and built for drinking rather than discussing for 45 minutes.

A working-class beer born in Gold Rush California, revived at the dawn of the craft beer revolution… and now, naturally, brewed in Nyanza and named after Halifax.
